父親節後記 [Jun 22, 2013]

Father’s Day passed quickly but left some memories this year. In the morning, as planned, Tommy took me to golfing, then to buying a T shirt as a gift for me. David arranged a restaurant for a lunch. In my life this is the first time I feel so loved by my sons. I can feel that they want to spent time with Dad, they do love Dad. Sitting in the restaurant, looking at the lovely young happy faces, my mind cannot help drifting away to those miserable days; to those long and hard talks, of many late nights; clip by clip as a movie, of course, I also see those remarkable moments of their lives.....I do feel blessed that the boys swang out so much but end of the day they can get back to the lights as they get more matured.
In the afternoon I joined a group of friends and had a three hour hiking tour along the river that passes through the city. So beautifully green are the trees and leaves, chirping everywhere are the birds, so fresh is the air nicely mixed with the smell of grass and leaves,  quietly yet firmly flows to the east is the river, as telling an long story……
The Father’s Day passed, as the thought shared with the group in the dinner that day, I believe indeed, to our daughters or sons, if we dedicate our mind with love to listen, understand, communicate, guide, then influence, they do listen and appreciate the value of our philosophies and life principles. One night last week, sitting around the kitchen table, David told me, "Dad, you know I just realized that everything you told me is right!"
