"Twice a year, I wash the outside walls with water and bleach to prevent mildew（黴菌）," she said. "And indoors in the spring, I wash the interior walls with vinegar and water to remove soot(煤灰） that the fireplace deposits on them."
The log home lifestyle Terri and Sam share with their two young sons on the forested outskirts of Rigaud. Their log home in the woods is a sumptuous（豪華的） retreat, where the summer soundtrack（配音） is provided by frogs and winter is a time for skating parties on the backyard pond, followed by hot chocolate.
