        故事出自“通俗文學大師”張恨水先生之手——上演一場門第、金錢、權力、人性與愛情的激烈鬥爭。在上個世紀飄搖的二十年代，一切都在崩析與重建的邊緣搖擺。金、白兩大豪門家族內部矛盾在激烈衝突，北洋軍閥勾心鬥角，爭權奪利……在“金”和“粉”的奢華後麵，卻是殺氣騰騰的爾虞我詐，溫情脈脈的親情微笑，慈祥的天倫之樂，讓金錢侵蝕得猙獰可惡，名門世家開始走向衰落……金燕西（陳坤飾）是北洋軍閥內閣總理金銓（寇振海）之子。冷清秋（董潔飾）是善良美麗、清寒人家出身的才女。白秀珠（劉亦菲飾）出身大戶人家，貌美驚豔卻小姐脾氣十足，對金燕西敢愛敢鬧，令金不堪忍受。而金燕西對冷清秋一見鍾情，展開激烈的追求……在反叛愛情與殘酷封建意識的對立衝突下，一場三角情感糾纏，剪不斷，理還亂……全劇以新的視覺觀點攝取曆史資料與生活素材，塑造了一批性格鮮明的人物形象，描繪了一幅亂世之秋，封建大家族.....
