前不久我在 eBay 網站用投標的辦法訂到一台 Canon 1Ds Mark III 的相機。這是我想了很久的相機。以前有一次因一兩百元的差距，以 $4100 元丟了一次機會，一直覺得懊惱，因為這可是市場價為 $6600 元的相機。這次在 eBay 又看到同一型號的全新相機就動了心，雖然賣者沒有其它成交記錄，我還是以 $4600 的最高價下了訂價。一天以後，居然以 $4300 成交，而且賣者住在休斯頓，非常高興。
不久收到兩封電子信件。一件是訂單的確認，也告訴我如何用 Paypal 去付錢。後一封信說這位賣主希望我以 Western Union 的方式匯錢過去。這種辦法很麻煩，所以我沒有留心。按第一封信的鏈接，我很快就用 Paypal 付了錢。隻等心愛的相機早日寄到。
我給賣者去了兩次 Messages 都沒有下文。過了兩個星期還沒有看到相機的影子，我心裏有些發毛了。是不是這次遇到了一個以前隻聽說過的 eBay 騙子？我把那第二封信再拿出來細讀了一遍，才恍然大悟。這真的是一個騙局。原來， eBay 早就給大家發過警告信，無能如何，不要用 Western Union 去付錢。這封信明確地說，他的 Paypal 帳號還沒有辦好，現在隻收 Western Union 。 Western Union 屬於電匯，錢一旦寄出，就“包子打狗，有去無回。”
我趕緊去查 Paypal 的曆史，發現我寄出的 4300 元還沒有被取走。 Paypal 有保險，如果我沒有收到貨，完全可以把錢拿回來，對行騙者來說，有些不方便。我立即取消了這筆付款，錢又回到了我的帳戶。真是有驚無險。
我雖不是eBay的PowerUser，但用 eBay 購物已有一段時間，一般都隻從評分好的賣者買東西，從沒有出過問題。這是第一次遇到這樣“第一次”賣者，結果就遇到了騙子。其實要識別這種騙子並不難。在這裏把這段經曆寫下來，和各位朋友分享、共勉。
前兩天，這位“賣者”居然又送來一封信，說什麽因為庫存問題，希望取消這個訂單，還給我送來 Login 鏈接。如此繼續大膽行騙，叫我吃驚。看來得找找 eBay 的“保安部門”了。 可惜的是，我還得繼續尋找我的1Ds馬克三世，也許真該等即將問世的馬克四世。
以下是第二封信的部分內容。其中破綻不少。比如，信看上去是從eBay來的，但細看回信地址，實際不是eBay。

1. Pay for the transfer with cash at a local Western Union agent.
2. Or you can make the payment online www.westernunion.com Once the payment was sent, forward to the seller, by email the following information to verify this transaction:
1) 10 digit MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number).
2) Exact sender's name on file with Western Union.
3) Exact sender's address on file with Western Union.
4) Amount sent. |
Currently, this seller has a US $7,174.00 deposit in an ebay managed purchase protection account. Transactions with this ebay seller are covered by purchase protection against fraud and description errors. For your safety, this account was locked today, for 30 days time. The seller is unable to withdraw any money from it, within this period.
Should you need a refund for this transaction, the insured amount will be taken from the seller's purchase protection account and sent to you.
The refund is sent to your bank account, by check or MoneyOrder. The way you are refunded is at your choice. You have 30 days from the above verification date to request a refund. Refund requests are processed within 3 days.

Here are the situations suitable for a refund request:
1) If the item doesn't arrive and/or the seller stops communications after the payment was received;
2) If the merchandise you receive has different specifications than the ones you agreed on;
3) If your merchandise arrives in a much longer period than the one you agreed on (more than 15 days from the payment clearance day).
For cases 2) and 3) you have to send back the merchandise to the seller prior to ask for your refund. If you did not pay the seller by the required payment method, your refund request would be declined. |
