Did U know that one of the most important parts of ur car is made of paper?THAT'S right,without the lowly paper air filter,ur engine would be nothing but a 250-kilograme pile of metal and glass the first dusty road u drove down.The often-overlooked aspect of air filters is that they not only affect the quality of air entering the engine, but  the quantity  too. A plugged air filter has two-fold effect onur vehicle:it's filtering ability is reduced;and ,the volume of air entering the engine is reduced.Since an engine mixes gasoline with air to generate power,the less air ,the less power it'll usually make.

But ,it's not that simple.An inadequate supply of air mixing with the fuel causes engine schizophrenia  as the electronics(computer) tries to match the fuel volum to the incoming air. the result can be crummy fuel economy,spark-plug fouling and hard starting.Who would thought a piece of paper could be such a problem?
