沒來這麽多天，感覺到似乎已錯過了大半個春天似的。花的季節已經過去，好像夏天都快來了。隨著春天的到來，跟著來的是一群北遷的鳥兒。其中最吸引人的是各式各樣的warbler。 Warbler 是一群體型較小，而色彩鮮豔的小鳥，它們通常在南美洲，中美洲及美國南方過冬，隨著春天的到來，大群Warbler飛臨美國北部，繁殖並度過夏天。 New England的幾大州也是Warbler喜歡度夏的地方，幾乎是剛到五月，才見春暖花開，Warbler們就來了，它們會在這裏逗留到九，十月份，才又南飛過冬。Boston附近Plum Island是春天Warbler及其它北遷的鳥兒集中的地方，在Cambridge的Mt Auburn Cemetery也是觀察Warbler極好的地方。可惜最近忙得很，沒機會外出，隻能在附近走走。但即使在Riverway，Backbay Fens這些城市公園裏，也會見到各種Warbler及其它北遷的鳥兒們。 清晨一走近樹林，就聽見各種各樣悅耳婉轉的鳥啼聲。隨著春天來臨，Grey Catbird從四麵八方冒了出來，一抓一大把。 這裏有介紹它的文字： “The Grey Catbird breeds in southern Canada and eastern and central USA but winters in southern USA, Central America and the West Indies. It is found in dense bushes and scrubby habitats. A member of the Mockingbird family, it gets its name from the cat-like sound it makes. It is dark grey with a black cap and tail. The undertail coverts are chestnut。 ”
