知道耶魯大學與哈佛大學畢業的“白領罪犯”犯罪本領的區別嗎？

今天紐約時報報導，聯邦檢察官指控黑石集團-Blackstone 33歲的常務董事 Ramesh Chakrapani 幾年前參與內幕交易， 獲利三百六十萬美元 。如今，在一再發生醜聞的華爾街上，三百六十萬美元本已經不是一個足以令人談論的數字，如果不是發生在黑石集團這樣一個曾經以收買/轉賣其它公司的成功使人側目的公司的話。


在讀者的評論中，有位Lyle Vos 猜測，這個33歲的常務董事恐怕是耶魯大學畢業的，因為耶魯大學畢業的白領罪犯涉及的金額會低於一千萬美金，如果是哈佛畢業的白領罪犯，胃口會在兩千五百萬美金以上。這聽上去象是沒有根據的笑話。


沒想到，不到一小時，另一位讀者 Jeremy 證實，他從黑石集團尚未完全清除的網上信息發現，Lyle Vos 真猜對了，Chakrapani 的確是耶魯大學經濟學與國際問題研究專業畢業的。這種區別以前還真不知道呀！看來耶魯大學畢業的不光是做美國總統不行，連白領罪犯和哈佛比都是小巫見大巫。

A greedy banker enriching himself at the expense of others? This cannot be. I wonder if this alleged felon went to one of those schools where they train white collar criminals such as Yale or Harvard. I suspect Yale since it was a crime of under 10 million. Harvard felons shoot for over 25 million.
