Big Apple and Big Easy

These are the very first cities I visited with my hubby after I came ten years ago. Both were visited because of some social events, both were destroyed by disasters and restored by determination.

We flew to New Jersey around Christmas to attend my LD's college classmate's wedding. Stayed at another classmate's house in Edison. Took the ferry and the subway, visited the Rockfeller Center, the World Trade Center and the Empire State building. The Statue of Liberty was too distant to see clearly. Next day several friends drove to the Atlantic City, my LD and I were lucky enough to win slot machines many times within a short period of time, the total amounting to $200. Later we rented a car and drove to Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia and D.C., stopping in each state to visit some friends.
