My recent hair cut

A friend recommended a hair dresser long time ago. I just had the feeling like to go, so I went to the salon during lunch time without appointment. Luckily the lady was free so I had my hair cut quickly. The hair dresser is from Korea. She is very professional and nice. She knew how to cut my hair right after she saw me and took the action on it. While she was working, she also explained me and told me the way she cut would made me look younger. She was very confident which made me hard not to trust her. After she finished, I looked at the mirror and felt the difference immediately and felt happy about the result.

With confidence, I came back to office. Everybody in my team noticed my change and said my hair cut was nice and suited me perfectly. Of course I’m glad to hear this as I didn’t waste my money. My husband ever called me. While I was talking to him, I was about to tell him about my hair, but finally didn’t. I wanted to give him a surprise.

As usual, after work, I went to Jason’t school to pick up Jason first. I thought Jason would say something like “mom, you look beautiful...”. He likes to say this when I dress colorful cloth. Unfortunately he didn’t see anything. That’s ok. He is just a little boy. I don’t expect too much from him.

On the way back in the bus, we met a neighbor. I asked Jason to say bye-bye to her when she left. Jason didn’t say but asked for the herbal candy in her hand. I was so angry and told him it’s not good and not polite to ask things from others and told him not to do this next time.

When we reached home, my husband and Janie welcomed us at the door. I kissed happy Janie, then told my husband what Jason did. I was still upset and totally forgot my hair.

Then I washed my hand, held Janie for a while, then helped to get ready for the supper, then fed Janie first, then I started eating, then I realized my hair…. And realized my husband didn’t say anything about my hair yet! I started talking to him to bring his attention….”How is your today?” “&&^%$*&”; “Anybody called today?” “$^*(^&*(“; “Any exciting things today?” “$&%*^*&…(Nothing to do with my hair)”. I can’t stand and asked him directly, “Any changes on me?!” he looked at me, “Oh. You got your hair cut. No wonder I feel something different on you.” That’s all he said!

Is this supposed to be the reaction from the husband after getting married for over 10 years? Do you think I should be happy after hearing this.?
