剛從外國回流的家嵐，暫時家居在好友柴小屏和James Jim的家中，離開十多年，香港的變化一日千裏。然而她在這個本來是娘家的地方，卻無法找到一份工作，原因並非家嵐脫離了時代步伐，反而是她資深的履歷，她的資歷往往比麵試她的人還要高，這令她被忌才的人摒諸門外！

機緣際遇下，家嵐遇見太極宗師伍恆，和她的孫兒陸哲，家嵐目睹伍恆過人的太極功夫，一心希望拜師為徒，然而伍恆每次碰上家嵐，總是同時也交上黴運！這似乎造成了伍恆對家嵐避之則吉，但伍恆的孫兒陸哲卻與家嵐一見如故，還主動介紹她到自己任職攝影師的「形」廣告公司裡應徵。

自此黃家嵐與陸哲便成為同事。

黃家嵐得到陸哲的友善幫忙，很快便跟所屬的「創作及製作部」的同事接納，但公司的「邪惡軸心」，行政總裁戴安娜及她的助理裘進卻對創作部諸多壓逼！

幸好除了戴安娜之外，他們還可以向公司真正的大老闆言為信告禦狀。

這言為信是「言氏集團」第二代承繼人，他承繼了這個市值十多億的商業王國。「形」隻是他王國內其中一個小項目。言為信把「形」安置在「言氏集團」大廈其中一層的一個中型單位。「形」日常的行政事宜言為信頗依仗戴安娜，除了他相信戴安娜的能力外，外人都猜測這關乎二人以往的戀人關係。


公司角力　身份神秘

家嵐無意中發覺雜誌社Trainee何彤彤為了報復，偷了戴安娜之手機，可是，就在陰差陽錯下，手機卻落在陸哲手上，而且，他從手機留言中，得知戴安娜打算暗中變賣雜誌社。與此同時，戴安娜正要追究手機失竊之事，陸哲卻不知如何是好，家嵐卻出人意表地將事件平息，此舉不禁令眾人覺得，家嵐並非泛泛之輩...

正當各人對家嵐的身份仍在揣測之際，言為信卻突然出現，原來，家嵐竟與言為信知交多年，就連陸哲也不知道他的世叔伯，竟然與家嵐相識。伍恆得知家嵐與陸哲一同工作，總是欲語還休，但又不願置評。

保健中醫師田在山一直是伍恆裙下之臣，然而伍恆基於名節，隻堅持將二人關係維持在知己好友的層麵上，田在山也風度十足的以君子之風自持！旁人看來他們其實早已是一對璧人！但是田在山總覺得這位紅顏知己有許多心事放在心底，不肯分享，就如田在山發現最近伍恆常常捫著胸口，像是心臟有事，還有她對孫子陸哲的同事黃家嵐，出現不尋常抗拒反應....

與此同時，廣告公司內傳出了黃家嵐是言為信另一位舊戀人的流言，偏偏言為信又在這關頭破格提升黃家嵐為「企業營運顧問」。職權上與戴安娜抗衡，這引起了戴安娜強烈的敵意，以為黃家嵐要與自己爭權奪位。

自此公司便成為兩位各有千秋的女人們的角力場....
