A Kind Woman

There was a man whose life was empty. He carried a great sorrow in his heart. He believed that every time he did something for himself, someone else got hurt as a result. In his fear of hurting others he did not do the things in his life he wished to do. Because of the emptiness that comes with not pursuing his own dreams, his life became meaningless. In this sense of meaningless, he discarded the things he had, his home, his work, his friends. He then set out on a journey. He did not know what was on the journey or what he would find but like the birds that fly south for the winter, he knew this is what he must do. After 3 years traveling he met a woman. He knew that this was a good woman with a pure heart. This was a rare woman and a man who was with this woman would live a peaceful, content life. But in his turmoil, the man did not think he deserved to live this woman. But also knew that he could not live in this desert he created for himself and must pursue this woman.  There was a mutual attraction between the man and the woman and slowly they got to know each other. Their days together were filled with laughter and happiness. Together they did many things without one person being compromised and unhappy in the other’s actions. They fell in love and decided to marry. The woman was very wise and understood that a strong husband can help make a strong family. In her happiness and kindness, her husband became strong. The woman in return became happy in her family. His life slowly started to fill up again, and ambitions returned.
