輕輔音 “S” vs. “Th” 的發音要領

英語中的輔音相當於漢語中的聲母, 有輕輔音, 濁輔音之分.

發輕輔音, 聲帶不震動, 是 "氣聲”, e.g., “S”, “th”, “t” , “f”, “p”

發濁輔音, 聲帶要震動, e.g., “V”, “Z”, “th” (This), etc.

這次先談談輕輔音 “S” vs. “Th” , 下一次俺再談談濁輔音 “Th” vs. “Z” 的發音要領.

輕輔音 “S” 的發音要領我在 "講講我矯正英文發音的故事” (“故事”) 中簡單提到過. 發 “S” 時, 兩腮向兩側拉開, 臉要 smile, 舌靠近前牙, 但不 touch 前牙, 然後吹氣就行了. 臉要 smile, 這樣 “S” 發不成 “Sh” 了.

“S”: side, slide, sea, beside, smile, Sweden, boss, hiss, miss, strong, university, basic, etc.

Sometimes, “c” is also pronounced as “s”e.g., cease, citation, cell, cent, etc.

發濁輔音 “sh”: 兩腮不用向兩側拉開, 臉不用 smile.
 e.g., she, shy, shame, sheet, bush, wish, etc.

輕輔音 “th” 的發音要領

舌頭伸地至少超過上下齒, 然後吹氣. 開始可”誇張” 一點, 把舌頭伸地跟上下唇一樣齊.

發輕輔音“S” and “th” 最大不同是舌頭伸地長短程度.

Thread, Through, Cloth, Both, Teeth, Mouth, Youth, Theater, Thief, Thorough, etc.

1. Please smile when you pronounce “S”.

2. Your tongue tip has to be outside of your teeth when you pronounce ”th”.
