　　《大瓷商》以景德鎮為背景，講述了幾代陶瓷人的悲歡離合以及民族陶瓷工業興衰成敗的曆史。《大瓷商》男主角陶昌南最終由夏雨中選，吳子牛導演認為，雖然夏雨這些年出演的角色並沒有什麽與陶昌南吻合的部分，但是夏雨身上的表演潛質是吳子牛所看好的。特別是夏雨這一代的男演員目前都進入艱難的轉型期，一個年齡跨度相對來說非常大，同時前後性格特征變化強烈的角色，對於夏雨來說既是一種挑戰又是一個機遇。而蔣勤勤則是複出之後首次出演女主角。此次夏雨與蔣勤勤將在劇中出演一對曆盡波折的夫妻，這也是這兩位演員的首次合作!
