【內容簡介】：

《從地球到月球From the Earth to the Moon》一片是HBO出名的電視劇作品, 在1999年“艾美獎獲得的獎項有十七項之多，它也一樣贏得了同年的金球獎。

《從地球到月球》是根據曆史真人真事改編的作品，它借用了著名科幻小說家、法國人儒勒·凡爾納的紀實小說《A Man on the Moon站在月球上的人》的內容和素材改編而成。它全景式地描寫和反映了圍繞二十世紀人類最重要的科學活動——“登陸月球所發生的種種事件，再現了這個人類曆史上最偉大的探險壯舉中的無數感人片斷。為了能夠真實地重現美國的月球計劃，此片的每項涉及天文與航天科學的部分都是完全真實並經得起曆史推敲的，此片的拍攝不僅得到了美國政府和國家航空航天局（NASA）的鼎力協助，而且很多裝備和場景都是采用了本片的執行監製湯姆·漢克斯演出的奧斯卡提名影片《阿波羅13號》一片當中的設施。因為漢克斯本人一直為自己在《阿》片中的表現沒有得到全麵的認可感到有些失望，也對類似此片這樣反映美國登月計劃這一重要曆史題材的影視作品情有獨鍾，意猶未盡，因此專門拍攝了《從》一片，把失敗的“阿波羅13號行動前後的所有故事全數搬上了熒屏，甚至媒體一直都把漢克斯的《阿》這部代表影片視為是《從》片的熱身作品。
