“WX是想說燃燒之後，灰燼裏飛出的“精靈”？？”
hmmm, 也許是吧！
ash 有點靈的意思？
例如：Peace to his ashes ! 願他的靈魂安眠!
生命的仙子？ 也很卡通喲！

WX 我不懂化學，不明白你說的什麽意思，但一首好的詩歌，我讀到的確實是能量。。。

“寫詩其實是危險的，如所有真的東西都危險一樣。”but return to nature, return to balance...

I feel the balance here...harmony here...all is calm...come...

“蓄意”燃燒？？那是個什麽燃燒？？縱火犯？？:))
“to be fooled”有誰這麽傻？明知被愚弄還去受愚弄。。。所以我翻譯成“自愚”，愚弄和被愚弄讓我想不通。。。除非是被上天愚弄，主動愚弄隻能愚弄人不能愚弄天，被人愚弄有點犯傻，是對自己的歧視，如果不怨天尤人的話，就剩下“自愚”了。。。

我感覺“燃燒”和“lively fooled” 都是unconscious undertone。。。

我還是喜歡“灰燼”一詞，徹底燃燒留下"灰燼"，半燃燒[餘灰？？]但是“生命的灰燼”失去了某種 spiritual的感覺，所以加之“燃不盡”。。。但仍不夠好。。。

WX是想說燃燒之後，灰燼裏飛出的“精靈”（如鳥）？？

生命燃燒的感覺，燃燒是不是"lively fooled"的感覺？如果是那樣，我倒挺喜歡 lively fooled。。。

感覺沒有力度，沒有燃燒的視覺之感。。。ASH是暗含了燃燒的過程。。。
FOOLED，我感覺作舟選擇這個詞，也有語言上的環繞，英文在這裏更容易看清楚。。。

[生命] is closer to something that can "burn" ---fire of life .... so, a filly lived life will leave something beautiful behind, and that is poetry.....
Seems like we have to rephrase some words in the Chinese version ....

我不太喜歡“人生”這個詞，它和生命帶來的內涵不一樣。“人生”裏含有某種悲哀
的感覺，它裏麵具有“動態”，度過這一生，給人線性的視覺，如“人生如夢”；
但“生命”比較寬廣，裏麵有種豁然或達然或喜悅的感覺。。。

我感覺不像...(個人感覺而已)...特別讀那幾首“I died for Beauty-”和“Wild Nights, Wild Nights”...等等
我更相信她與幾個已婚男子的神秘感情。。。（不好意思，八卦:）

非常同意：she is essential as far as American poetry is concerned ....her poetry is still more "modern" than many living poets' today, both spiritually and linguistically!

YY & ZF, thanks for mentioning E.D. ::::::: she is essential as far as American poetry is concerned ....her poetry is still more "modern" than many living poets' today, both spiritually and linguistically!

Her poetry is personal, private at times, but they embrace both Life and Death, Love and Fear, etc....Just imagine being a lesbian in the 19th century!!!!

YY: 她的詩歌對我而言，是很“中性”的，因為富有理性吧，我想和她受過的教育，富裕生活的環境，與終生的閉門思考有關，我非常欣賞她的創造性：)

恰巧我正在讀E.D...我個人以為對她有一點點誤解（純屬我個人的感覺而已，請見諒），我感覺她非常女性化，激情，感性，性感，從她的詩中可以讀出她同樣有不為人所知的羅曼史。。。人們讀到的她的理性來自她的特有的感性所感知（有點兒類似divine sense或者說能感知到universal truth），她的詩歌對我來說很像月亮（不是月光是月亮）。。。但很顯然，以現代人的眼光來看，她生活得不“健康”，給我來自the past:::::的感覺。。。她受到過很好的教育，而且她一生寫詩，藝術音樂和詩歌創作是她的生活，她一生都在生活(art is life)。。。以至她和同時代的女性很不一樣，非常迷人的女性。。。（個人看法）

很喜歡這首詩，非常有層次的感覺，刺激人的感受，很強烈。。。意境深邃和看不見的隱秘性感確有些似Emily Dickinson，不同的是意象氣質還是作舟的感覺，特別是畫麵感與音律感。。。作舟的詩歌，感覺上很遵循自然的創造路徑（the creative path of nature）。。。如最後無形無跡但縈繞不去的那種效果。。。
