講到領導才能 及參於社區活動， 我想無憂與我房區委員會的對話， 也許有比較好玩兒。拿來特為大家玩味。讓孩子們參與社區，我們父母反而連自家門口的事都不管， 恐怕不對吧.

Gentlemen:
I've got a couple of concerns about our A Farm community to share with you:
1. I guess, now might be right time to talk to Mainscape about the
seeding, especially those areas of tophill white fence half circle (in and
outside of the circle), all the sub entrances, townhouse main yard and the
vast area between kids playground and R Farm Way. I suggest that a heavy
and dense seeding should be done. I don't mind if there is a little bit of
extra cost for doing it. I know that Mainscape should do it anyway. The
grass in those area is just so ugly and is hurting A Farm community so much.
2. Mainscape forgot to trim the edges of the entire community sidewalks
when they cut the grass, at least for more than a month.
3. Now, we may need to ask Mainscape to trim the dead branches of trees
along the sidewalks, including those in the two dry ponds.
4. A couple of our neighbors' grass are unacceptable. I believe that
HOA should take some actions to advise them to take care of their grass such
as weeds control, fertilizing, watering, cutting grass in a time manner.
For example, I don't mind at all if I and together with you or one of you
gentlemen to knock at their doors and let them know that they should take
care of their yards properly.
5. One or two residents planted some vegetable on their yards like
pumpkin plant, which do not look good at all, especially those on the side
of the house.

A lot of this is already on the schedule. Mainscapes is starting their fall fertilizer and weed control treatments now, and will begin Aeration and overseeding in a few weeks. The bottom line is that grass does not look good in August without lots of chemicals and watering. My yard is in terrible shape, but as the weather gets cooler it will improve. I also do not like using lots of chemicals because of the harm it can cause, so I only treat once or twice a year.
- I asked them to get the edges trimmed. What happens there is that all of the private services trim the edges themselves, so most of them are done and the crew thinks they are all done. I will say that it is important to let me know when you see a problem like that so I can take care of it. Last year when this came up they did it right away (I think it was about this time of year) and were good about it the rest of the fall.
- Mainscapes trims branches that overhang the sidewalk in the winter as part of our contract, but I asked them to get me a price to clean up all of the trees.
- If people are outside of the rules with the length of their grass, they can be sent a letter, as happened at least once this summer. Mine was long for a few weeks, because I did not want to cut it when it was so hot and dry.
- In terms of vegetables, I was planning on a making a vegetable garden myself. I think we should be encouraging that! And I love Pumpkins and think they are great! I had tomatoes on the side of my house last year, but did not get around to planting them this year. I guess that is just a difference of opinion.
If you want to meet I am free on Sunday – We can meet at my house – What time is good for you all – I am free all day.
