Youtube can be a royal pain

Why does Youtube need to be taken down every day at 10pm PST for maintenance? After they received $1.2Bil from Google, can they afford some more servers, data centers and bandwidth? At least persuade the new owner to let them use some of the racks in Google multiple mighty data centers. Now during the prime-time on the left coast, there is no programming what's ever. Imagine   that for a big time TV-channel that Youtube is trying hard to displace.

Then there is the digital right. This is really a major issue. I'm glad that the brave little kid called Limewire is willing to stand up against and challenge the powerful recording industry. Meanwhile, can't Youtube be a bit more sensitive towards the users? Even it feels compelled to remove the "copyrighted materials", can it keep the users' messages including some valuable reviews,  for pete's sake!
