1. Oh man! Today's OT reading took my breath away. Abraham's intercessions really showed his compassion, the destroying of Sodom and Gomorrah gave me a taste of God's judgement, the dramatic finale of Lot's family was astonishing. How could you not love today's reading?
2. Today's lesson for me: get rid of the log in my eye first.
3. Psalm 8! God's creation from a king's viewpoint. One of my favorite paslms.

今天的靈修版裏有段非常有意思的注釋，是我以前也產生誤會的----
神改變了亞伯拉罕的心意，使他更明白神。我願讓神改變我的心意嗎？
18:20-18:33 亞伯拉罕改變了神的心意嗎？當然沒有。其實是神改變了亞伯拉罕的心意。亞伯拉罕知道神是公義的，並且要刑罰罪，但他有可能懷疑神的慈愛。他似乎想探測神的心意，要知道他究竟有多少憐憫。他與神交談後，相信他是慈愛公義的。我們的禱告不會改變神的心意，但是可以幫助我們明白他的心意，並改變我們的心意。。。。神不是以毀滅惡人為樂，但他必要消滅罪惡。神既公義又有憐憫，我們要因他的慈愛臨到我們而感謝他。。。。神給予所多瑪城的人一個公平的測試。他並非漠視他們的惡行，隻是耐心地、公平地給他們悔改的最後機會。現在，神仍在等候，賜人回轉歸向他的機會（參彼後3:9）。聰明的人會在神懲罰罪惡以前，就歸向他。
其實看到羅得竟然可以將女兒交出去任人蹂躪，真是可恨之極！神要毀滅的所多瑪真的是惡貫滿盈，連羅得和他一家（後來兩個女兒和父親羅得亂倫）也被玷汙了啊！
再轉載一段關於羅得妻子回頭的注釋，也是令人警醒！-----
19:26 羅得的妻子回頭看那焚燒著的城市，對過去依依不舍，不願意完全撇下。當你想更親近神的時候，是否還在回頭望，想留在罪中呢？不放棄舊的生命，我們跟神的關係就不會有甚麽進展。耶穌說：“一個人不能事奉兩個主。”（太6:24）

十字架的道路是艱難的，路是窄小的，但是這條路上有神的恩膏，隻要我們堅定地走下去，相信聖靈必定幫助我們，使我們越走越輕省，越走越喜樂，越走道路越明亮和寬廣！

你因敵人的緣故，從嬰孩和吃奶的口中，建立了能力，使仇敵和報仇的，閉口無言。--- 神在我們的軟弱中顯出剛強！

神一切的祝福聯在一起，如一條金鏈一般，一一降下。如果他給我們得救的恩典，他也要給我們得勝的恩典。恩典上還要加上恩典。他的祝福真如甘霖一般。---求神給我智慧和啟示的靈，讓我更多明白神的恩典和旨意，並更多地信靠你，阿門！

Punishment? The offsprings of Lot's two daughters were Moabites and Ammonites, two enemies of Israelites. They were against the LORD.
馬太這一段是我最喜歡的章節之一，無論對基督徒還是非基督徒都有向導作用。百讀不厭。
“When I consider your heavens,

人算什麽，你竟顧念他？Praises to the Lord!
I want to follow the straight paths, not to walk in the dark ways.....May Lord grant me the wisdom!
Question about "Lot and His Daughters" - Did they get any punishment for what they did described in this chapter?
1.Do Not Worry: do not worry about your life,...Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life. - Like this positive attitude towards life. Worry is useless at all. Setup your goal and go straight to it with full confidence!
2.Ask, Seek, Knock: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. - The motivation is the important and basic source to a successful life!
