Laura Pausini從未使人失望過。雖然目前為止，Laura的名字對於大多數國內的樂迷來說，還是相當陌生的。但毋庸置疑，Laura Pausini擁有一切成為國際知名歌手的條件。並且，雖然並未進軍國際歌壇，Laura Pausini已經毫無疑問是當今意大利歌壇最出色的流行歌手. Laura Pausini，1974年5月16日出生在意大利北部的一個小城市Solarolo，遷往米蘭後居住至今。她所發行的唱片，因為銷售地區的差異有不同的版本，如果不重複計算的話，加起來一共有十二張之多，包括1994年的Laura Pausini (Spanish)、1996年的Las Cosas que Vives、1998年的Mi Respuesta、2000年的Entr Tu Y Mil Mares以及2001年的精選集之一Volvere Junto A Ti五張西班牙語專輯。同時Laura Pausini也在另外一些專輯裏麵演唱一兩首歌，比如Message in a Bottle的原聲專輯中那首One More Time。總是很自然地把Laura Pausini和另外一些非常優秀的女歌手相比較，最典型的是Celine Dion、Lara Fabian和Mylene Farmer。她們同樣都是極其擅長漂亮高音的歌手，但Celine Dion的聲音稍欠柔和，唱到最高音的時候總顯得過於棱角分明；Lara Fabian氣勢太重，這一點從她的Love By Grace中就可見一斑；至於Mylene Farmer的空靈，則又完全屬於另一種類型。
96年，Phil Collins為Pausini譜寫一曲"Looking For An Angel"，開啟Pausini演唱英文歌曲新頁，99、2000年分別為《瓶中信》、《神奇寶貝》灌唱插曲"One More Time"、"The Extra Mile"累積詮釋英文歌曲經驗，為了希望能將之前錄唱西班牙與葡萄牙文時那份用歌聲反映文化的情感帶到自己的英文專輯，Pausini以兩年的時間投入首張英文大碟From The Inside的錄唱，大部分的錄唱工程都在加州進行，Atlantic音樂廠牌動員全美樂壇黃金製作卡司與身兼執行製作的Pausini細心琢磨，這串名單包括：John Shanks(Michelle Branch、The Corrs)、KC Porter (Carlos Santana、Ricky Martin)、Guy Roche(Cher、Celine Dion)、Evan Rogers、Carl Sturken(NSYNC、Christina Aguilera)、Patrick Leonard (Jewel)、Jimmy Bralower(M2M、Cyndi Lauper)…等，首支單曲"Surrender"巧妙串接舞曲與流行搖滾樂，將Pausini的情感活力全然釋放，駕馭快歌的唱功媲美Celine Dion、Lara Fabian，率先搶下加拿大單曲榜TOP 8，帶有都會爵士慵懶迷情色彩的混音版更跳登Billboard舞曲播放榜冠軍以及舞曲銷售榜TOP 4；KC Porter贏得2001年拉丁葛萊美獎最佳製作人榮銜作品"Every Day Is A Monday"在清亮略帶遼闊的編曲旋律中點出Pausini活潑奔放的歌唱性格；Celine Dion幕後詞曲創作Shelly Peiken為Pausini 98年意大利文暢銷單曲"In Assenza Di Te"改填上英文歌詞的"It's Not Good-Bye"以及跟Patrick Leonard合作的"Every Little Thing You Do"(尤其是鋼琴伴奏版)顯見Pausini用歌聲揣摩歌詞感人情境的細膩質地；Guy Roche操刀的"I Need Love"在和諧的旋律裏散發著渴望真愛的激亢情緒；流露輕盈律動感的"Do I Dare"則體現Pausini挑戰英文專輯的心情。Billboard稱讚From The Inside是張魅力十足的專輯，更是對Laura Pausini演唱英文歌曲實力的莫大肯定。
