“Painting 2 Contemporary Vanitas project. Painted from observation. Themes of Memento mori, consumerism, the fleeting nature of time, over commercialization of Asian culture, Asian identity, the cyclical nature of life, and the reality of confinement stemming from the global pandemic.

Tri-complimentary colour scheme (it is very colourful) with very vibrant saturated colours. Acrylic on canvas pad. Surprisingly my College decided to post my work on our program’s instagram account, @dawsoncollegevisualarts . Winter semester of 2021
