按照字麵意義，God'scountry應譯為‘上帝之國’。但在美國人嘴裏，God'scountry的意思與字麵意義卻相差十萬八千裏，或者說是風馬牛不相及，真正意義是：農村地區／鄉村地區＝Aruralarea:country,countryside.
比如內華達等人口稀少的州，除了拉斯維加斯，其他地帶都可稱作God'scountry。
