幫朋友問19歲intern在DC租車1個月

tried google, chatgpt, but no satisfactory solution.

Quite some driving needed after security gate at intern place so Uber is not an option. Parents driving not option either. 

youth rental fee quite expensive. $11-50/day. 

Tried rental companies, Turo, zipcar, even an auto repair shop. It looks like $1900 /month from Hertz is best deal available and up to 2200 with insurance. Shipping family car both ways would cost at least this much. Driving would be 30 hr each way. family and kid are at different state since kid is at college.

any suggestion? Uber+bike after security gate ?
