For long time I thought solar industry in China is not substainable without government subsidy. It is now. a few years ahead of schedule. It passed cost parity with traditional grid. China did an amazing job. Not much western media coverage. I questioned if this parity is temprary because solar key material polyscrystalline silicon is energy demanding. Solar industry can feed itself now. 

Depending the trade relation between China and other countries, the solar panel cost in USA and Europe could be lowered a lot. China does not allow export of solar equipment.
