You have a very rich English vocabulary. I did not know the word "upswing" until I heard this episode.  I love VOA program. I began to listen to it while I was a college student back in China.  After graduation, I quitted the program for a while.
Ever since 《美語世界》論壇 was established in 2007, I picked up the program and started to listen to it again. I enjoy this program as much as I did before. It is fun to learn.
