280 Commonly-Used American Slang - 1/3

不少人對slang有偏見,我對slang的定義也不是很確定,但slang不是髒話。個人感覺就是很口語話的詞,說出來比較活潑,隨意,逗人,很潮,年青人用的比較多。有一些slang隻是某一些人群用,但很多slang都是在日常生活中能聽到的,也有不少slang已和idoms融為一體。電影電視裏也隨處可見。很多時候,你聽清了每一個字,每一個詞,把這個字詞寫下來,你也認識,卻不知道別人到底在說什麽,這多半就是slang的問題。

這也是我平時看節目和雜誌時的一個難點。在網上看到這個資料,280個常用slang,覺的還不錯,就整理了一下,先貼1/3,和大家分享一下。

你也許不喜歡用,但知道也無妨;也許你用了都不知道,“big mouth”,“couch potato”也都在這兒劃成了slang :-)
