阿肯色 Arkansas 州對不起我的13項理由。

三年前從加州搬到中西部時，租了大卡車拖著小汽車，跨16州（瞎玩）。經過 Arkansas 州，氣死我了。當時的日記如下（加中文注釋）。

1-26-2002 Saturday

Yesterday I traveled through seven states: Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Today I traveled through six states: North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Indiana, and Ohio. On this trip, east most: Greenville, SC; south most: Van Horn, TX.

Very bad impression of Arkansas:
1) bad interstate roads; （州際公路坑坑窪窪）
2) road construction; （到處都在施工）
3) confusing traffic cones; （交通施工錐形的指示非常混亂）
4) unclear sign for national park; （到國家公園沒有指示牌）
5) slow drivers at Hot Springs city; （溫泉市的車輛開得太慢，令我誤了到溫泉公園的時間）
6) no public phone in downtown; （市中心沒有公眾電話，據說是要減少毒販的生意）
7) unclear signs for highways; （上高速公路的指示牌幾乎沒有）
8) no restroom for supermarket customers; （超級市場沒有洗手間）
9) BoA (Bank of America) ATM won't accept deposit; （銀行自動提款機不接受我的存款）
10) motel charges wrong; （旅店把錢故意算錯，門口標一個價，裏麵算另一個價）
11) motel no TV remote control; （旅店的電視沒有遙控）
12) motel phone cannot connect easily; （旅店的電話老是斷線）
13) gas station different charges for credit cards; （加油站用信用卡要加錢）
