Even though the number of variation is very large, it is still finite. Therefore the game is still solvable. Once it is solved, AI beats anyone. And there is no reason to assume that it remains practically insolvable for AI.

Chess will likely be solved first by AI and it will beat any human player, enlightened or not. There is no reason to assume that enlightenment only works with Go but not chess.
