Analysts do not collect data
Analysts do not collect data -- they analyze data. For historical reasons, data are submitted from care providers to payors, these are called claims data or administrative data; claims data do not cover the full territory of care, for example, ambulatory services are not covered, therefore, late developments are made to collect these data, which has a name called "electronic medical records".
Data collection is the domain of informatics -- the domain of data analytics is business intelligence. To analysts, "data mining" is a dirty word.
