Go to court

Since this is your first time to get ticket, you may want to go to court to challenge the police. Tell the judge that you are careful every time while driving. This time you did see flashing red and stopped. The judge usually will reduce the fine if not all. hopefully that police couldn't show up in court so you can automatically get case dismissed.
