孔子名言中英對照，黃金定律在先

1. 己所不欲，勿施於人

Never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself.

2. 知之為知之，不知為不知，是知也

Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.” 

3.既來之則安之
 
Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart.

4. 溫故知新

to gain new insights through restudying old material; to review the past helps one to understand the present;  

5. 學而不思則罔，思而不學則殆。

He who learns but does not think, is lost. He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger.” 

6.博學之，審問之，慎思之，明辨之，篤行之
A gentleman should study extensively, inquire prudently, think carefully, distinguish clearly, and practice earnestly.
 
 
7.敬鬼神而遠之
 
while respecting spiritual beings, to keep aloof from them
 
8.四海之內皆兄弟也
 
All men in Chinese land are brothers
