The Russian Federation Showcases Its Worst Butchery at the 8

Vinnytsia — «For the fourth time, the Russian Federation appears at the United Nations General Assembly displaying killings» — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the new wave of violent Russian attacks on his country, which continued throughout the weekend as New York prepared to host world leaders in one of the most anticipated diplomatic events.
Last night, Russian forces again bombarded the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Kherson, Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia with drones and missiles, intentionally targeting clearly civilian sites such as the Poltava-Kremenchuk passenger train, several residential buildings in the Boryspol, Obukhiv, and Vyshorod districts of the capital, a private home in Mala Oleksandrivka, an elementary school in Sumy, and 15 apartment buildings and 10 cottages in Zaporizhzhia.
The day before, Sunday, the Russian Federation launched 582 drones and at least 40 other ballistic and cruise missiles against Ukraine, also striking the oblasts of Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, and Odesa, in addition to those already mentioned.
The Russian Air Force launched a cluster munition at a residential buildingin Dnipro, killing at least three civilians and severely wounding nearly forty. Shortly thereafter, it launched another missile at one of the most popular ATB supermarkets, causing yet another massacre of civilians. Those who didn’t die instantly were hospitalized in severe conditions, often with burns over 70% of their bodies.
The Polish fighters took to the skies again but still failed to make a dent in any of the more than 620 missiles, which caused further bloodshed among Ukrainian civilians.
Russian drones, free to strike from Belarus, also hit the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv, setting a private home ablaze and burning alive the 62-year-old woman inside.
In a classic double-tap, a trademark of Russian terror, other incendiary drones soon slammed into the same site, dousing rescuers rushing to save it in flames.
As of this writing, heavy bombing is still ongoing against the town of Pavlohrad, where I had been corresponding with this newspaper until a few hours ago.
The Russian delegation arrives in New York, showcasing its worst butchery even on the front lines.
At the Ukrainian front in Pokrovsk, for example, the occupiers are now refusing to be sent «to be cannon fodder» — as a Russian soldier from Irkutsk reported in a video showing the bodies of his comrades.
This is yet another example of the Russian command’s disregard for the lives of its soldiers, who are promised humane treatment and large sums of money in contracts that are never fulfilled. «Without equipment, without help, and without pay, we are immediately sent into battle to participate in assaults on human flesh» — that unfortunate expendable concluded.
Just a few days ago, even the Russian media closely linked to Kremlin propaganda started discussing an «unknown epidemic that causes bleeding from the eyes of those who contract it,» which had infected the 1435th and 1437th regiments of the 27th and 15th motorized rifle brigades, thereby confirming a long-standing rumor.
On an even larger scale than the situation with the Wagner mercenary group, the Russian high command has created entire “infected units” made up of former prisoners infected with HIV, hepatitis C, and tuberculosis, who are encouraged to participate in the most dangerous missions in exchange for antiviral drugs promised as payment.
As confirmed by Dmytro Zhmailo, executive director of the Ukrainian Security and Cooperation Centre, these units are already on the hottest front in Pokrovsk and are marked with a distinctive armband.
As Alla Perdei and I reported from the camp, the Russians were surrounded there in at least three places, losing large numbers of men and failing in every attempt to attack Dobropillia, Myrnohrad, and Pokrovsk.
Similarly, on the northern flank, they were also surrounded in a pocket near Oleksiivka and forced to retreat to nearby Volodymyrivka and Kostiantynivka.
Their repeated attempts to enter Kupiansk were also thwarted, and they ended up surrounded there as well, with prisoners being the best-case scenario.
