今年k12成績卡（4，8年級數學和讀寫）又顯示30年新低。

底部學生自13年起那是自由落體。專家指向各種原因，主要手機從13年終於普及到過半。現在，手機普及率大人小孩都過90%。教室又普及Chromebook，iPad。有教師指出，有的小孩變成沒有一點點注意力，不能聽完一首歌，不能聽完一個完整故事。學校紛紛取消懲罰，結果課堂秩序混亂。我認為主要是取消了accountability。小布什的no child left behind要求每年測驗，伴懲罰和鼓勵。底部學生成績一直上升。但是教師和校長們最反對以考分論高下，好多家長也不喜歡，給他們小孩壓力了。他們政治勢力很大。近十年各州waiver取消。13年左右推出every student succeeds act。密西西比州今年測試亮點，底部學生做的很好。他們一個是回到phonics 一個是堅持每年考試。教育就如同各項服務，越來越放棄大眾。
