Legal Aid Ontario connects low-income Ontarians to legal aid assistance and information through our toll-free client service centre. Legal aid staff ask questions to help you find the service that best fits your legal issue.

You can call LAO toll-free to access a wide range of legal aid services and information and receive referrals to duty counsel, community legal clinics or other agencies.

Call 1-800-668-8258 toll-free (or 416-979-1446 in Toronto) to get legal aid help in over 120 languages.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

For faster service, it’s recommended you call before 11:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m.
