Act of God

"Bring Your Child to Work Day" 快到了, 就講一個"Bring Your Child to Work Day" 時發生的笑話吧。

公司一直有一個好傳統, 每年都會花很多力氣操辦"Bring Your Child to Work Day" 活動。HR 會搞一些小孩喜歡的活動, 帶孩子們參觀, 和準備小禮品/獎品。  所以, 每個員工的適齡孩子都願意來。

某年, "Bring Your Child to Work Day" 午餐時, 我們幾個人碰到一個帶著5,6 個 小孩的同事。 同事驕傲的告訴我們, 這是他的 老三, 老四, 老五, 老六還有老七; 歎了口氣, 同事繼續說, 老大, 老二已經上大學了, 老八老九還小, 可惜 都不能來。 同事離開後, 我們幾個就在人背後不厚道的嚼起舌根來。

 

我:  WoW, that is a huge family, I guess they can have 2 full basketball teams and play a game within the family.

三弟: I was wondering if they use any Contraception. Anyway, it is a big burden and just feeding those kids can be a stunning job.

某白人: I heard that he is a pious Roman Catholic. And by their doctrine, they are allowed to use the amusement park but forbidden to bring anything into it. 

我 (confused):  Can you elaborate more?

某白人:  To Catholic, pregnancy is an Act of God, except not using the amusement park, you cannot use anything to stop the Act of God.

三弟: But, rain is also Act of God, when it gets excessive, we all use Rubber.
