麵試後如何follow up

第一個麵試說九月份可能有新項目。讓八月初follow up.
第二個麵試在二周前，the hiring manager 回複我的thank you letter, saying "As we talked, we are waiting client’s final decision and then I will update you."

I am thinking to write emails to follow up. What should I say in my emails? thanks a lot.
