The original David should be indoor, outdoor is a copy

The one created by Michaelangelo is displayed at the gallery of Accademia di Belle Arti Firenze (Academy of Fine Arts, Florence). It has housed the original since 1873.

The David you saw at the Piazza della Signoria is a copy placed in 1910.

There are MANY copies of David thruout Florence, but that does not dimish the "shocked value" of the statue.

BTW, I think the Chinese translation of Firenze, is by far the most beautiful, most elegant, most adequate, Chinese translation of names.
