tFor time-based AMT (caused by time related stock options), Yes, you will get it back once your income is not triggered AMT. Before that happens, you can carry these forward for years. Actually I think if you incurred such AMT before 2009, you could claim them back in 2008 and 2009 even you have regular AMT for these years. For regular AMT, it's gone for ever, no carry forward.
