Original Issue Discount, 買 new issue 基本沒這個事

買 new issue 基本都是buy at par （100 麵值價錢等於或接近 100）沒有 OID。見 IRS Publication 550, search for "De mimimis OID"

買 re-open issue 有可能碰到

Treasury bill 雖然是 discount security，按規定1年或以下的報 1099-INT，不報1099-OID

例外的是 TIPS （Treasury Inflation Protected Securities），那個會有通脹引起的名義價格變動，有 1099-OID
