親戚在國內是外科醫生，做手術特別好，在國外會議上也發表過一些文章。為了留美的子女想用EB-1申請移民（聽說子女21歲以下可以帶著申）。本人業務能力好，但來美國估計沒法再當醫生（50多歲英語一般），那麽被批準的可能性有多大？

-Depends on his qualifications such as publications, awards, national and international reputations in his specialty. So, he had better consult an immigration lawyer to make evalution before he applies for EB-1A or NIW (EB-2). Some lawyers may make the evalution for free.

If he can find a job in US, e.g., a job in a non-profit institute or in a university, then he can apply for H-1 visa to come to US to work. Then, he can apply for the green card sponsored by his employer and thus, he has more chance to get the green card.

大概多長時間等候？

-Hard to say, case by case. Normally, EB-1A may take about 3 to 4 years and NIW may take 5 to 6 years.

如果說做研究，需要某機構的 full time 雇傭承諾嗎？

-If he applies for EB-1A or NIW, he does not have to have a job offer.

是不是一旦遞交申請就不能以 B1或B2 入境了？

-Because it takes a longer time for him to be qualified for the immigration, it may be OK for him to travel to US with B1/B2 visa.
