關於宗教移民的一個問題

請問8老師和大家，移民局網上的這個信息是什麽意思？是非牧師類的宗教移民到今年12月16日結束，不能再申請了嗎？還是這個時間段後暫時不能申請，不久後會重新開啟？謝謝！

Sunset Date for Non-Minister Religious Workers Program

On Sept. 30, 2022, the president signed into law H.R. 6833, extending the EB-4 non-minister special immigrant religious worker program through Dec. 16, 2022. The law allows these workers to immigrate or adjust to permanent resident status by that date. Non-minister special immigrant religious workers include those within a religious vocation or occupation engaged in a professional or non-professional capacity. The end date for the program also applies to accompanying spouses and children of non-minister special immigrant religious workers.

Special immigrants entering the U.S. solely to carry on the vocation of a minister, and their accompanying spouses and children, are not affected by this date.
