No law limits that and I have never heard anybody had trouble who quitted their job when they got the green card. As long as you have worked for the employer for a few years already before you got the green card, you have proved you have the intent to work for the employer after you get the green card. But people change their mind all the time due to some kind of reasons, so it is normal for you to take a break or change job after you got the green card, just like many of us had the intent to return to China after we finished our F-1 study, but we changed our mind to stay in US and USCIS understood it and approved our green card application.
