Sourdough Bread vs Whole Wheat Bread

Both sourdough and whole wheat bread are healthier options than white bread, but which is better depends on your goals: 

  • Fiber: Whole wheat bread is higher in fiber. 
     
  • Digestion: Sourdough may be better for people with digestion issues. 
     
  • Nutritional profile: The fermentation process in sourdough can make some vitamins and minerals easier for the body to absorb. 
     
  • Blood sugar: Sourdough may be less likely to spike blood sugar levels.

Whole wheat bread has a glycemic index (GI) of around 71.

 

但Sourdough Bread不太好吃呀,沒有有機的。市場裏做的Organic Whole Wheat Bread好吃多了,微甜,有嚼頭,還是有機的。Sourdough Bread和饅頭差不多,實在看不出為什麽Sourdough Bread比Whole Wheat Bread升糖慢。
