Said "… is worth the cost of some of these tragedies”
In a May 2022 episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, while discussing gun violence in the context of mass shootings, Kirk argued that the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment is a fundamental protection against tyranny and is worth preserving despite the occurrence of gun-related deaths. He specifically said, "The Second Amendment is worth the cost of some of these tragedies," referring to gun deaths as an unfortunate but acceptable tradeoff for maintaining constitutional gun rights.
