The impression that I tried to make is

There is a boundary between the CEO, GM and me, and I respect this boundary.

If you stay too close to them, you will know how stressful they are, and I don't want to be stressful.

That is the point I try to make. 

The CEO seemed to understand my point, and laugh with me.
