Thank you for your reply. It seems that suplementary uninsured/underinnsured coverage only deals with personal injury, not property damage. The adjuster for my claim said so (I won't trust her on this matter anyway). I also found the same statement in some webpages about New York auto insurance law. I have no idea if there are any exceptions. I am still trying to find a lawyer who may be interested in my case.
