自駕遊租車-選擇哪種車型合適？

計劃明年夏天美加自駕遊，3個成人，總行程一萬公裏左右。由於自己的車有點老了，計劃租車，想請教大家那種車型比較合適。我們看了幾種：

1. full size car- Chevrolet Malibu or similar.  5 person/4 luggage 

2. Compact SUV - KIA Seltos  or similar AWD 4x4. 5 person/3 luggage 

3. Intermediate SUV - Ford Escape or similar. 5 person/ 4 luggage 

4. Standard SUV - Ford Edge or similar AWD 4x4. 5 person/5 luggage.

大家根據自己的經驗和經曆，感覺那種比較合適。不知為什麽租車公司用Ford為例，沒有Honda或Toyota。
