Hahahaha, the last one is from real life for sure...
As soon as I caught sight of the word "motorcycle", I was thinking the time when my son was crazy about motorcycles. I gave him the exact answer the dad in your story did whenever my son talked about motorcycles. So he stopped talking about them, and I forgot about the motorcycles. Then one day he came to me with a serious question: Mom, when will you die? After one minute of thinking, I gave him a very reliable answer. I told him I'd live at least up to 60. My six-year-old, who just started to learn 2-digit arithmetic operations, became really excited upon hearing that, "That's not bad, mom. I will be able to ride a motorcycle when I am 3x years old then!"
And up until now, it has been an insider's joke for the two of us, though he forgot about owning or riding a motorcycle soon after the conversation.
