Given the geopolitical situation, I don’t think it’s a question of whether Nancy Pelosi will visit Taiwan. You betcha she will! Otherwise she wouldn’t have released the info to the media. It’s a matter of when. Later in the fall would be a better time. By then Russia is expected to suffer humiliation in Ukraine. Xi should have already secured his next term as the CCP boss and become less sensitive to Taiwan issue. My two cents.

Obviously the Biden administration is calculating risks and rewards of the planned Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. If done right, this visit will strengthen America’s hand in the zero-sum game with China in Taiwan Strait.
