香港《文匯報》引述《財富》雜誌報道，排名榜首的是意大利佛羅倫薩四季酒店，第3至第7名依次為美國邁阿密Mondrian酒店、捷克布拉格凱賓斯基酒店、土耳其伊斯坦布爾四季酒店、瑞士蘇黎世Dolder Grand酒店、南非好望角Cape Grace酒店。
排行榜主要考慮各酒店價格、裝潢及酒店設施等因素。上海柏悅酒店坐落於上海環球金融中心79至93樓，《財富》形容它“可能是世上最高酒店”；北京柏悅酒店則被評為“坐落北京的商業中心，酒店內可環瞰全城的泳池令人印象深刻”。
上榜酒店每晚房價介乎195至593美元。
