十歲男孩抄寫的箴言

轉眼小兒子就快結束大一了。後天出發去歐洲學習加旅遊。我整理他小時筆記本時看到他十歲時抄錄的箴言和他自己的理解。雖然不完美，但看起來挺有意思。抄錄一份：

Percepts （箴言)

• 8/20/2015 - "With great privilege, comes great responsibility." With everything you own, you need to be responsible for it and take care of it. You have to be responsible for it.
• 8/21/2015 - "When it's dark, be the one who turns on the light." When things are bad and dark, you should be the one who turns on the light and cheers people up.
• 8/24/2015 - "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." If you have a natural talent at something but don't practice at all, people who have no talent but work hard will eventually overcome other people.
• 8/26/2015 - "Be yourself because an original is worth more than a copy." It means that you shouldn't act like someone you aren't because that isn't you, the best you is the real you.
• 8/28/2015 -“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou.  Even if you say nice things to people or do nice things to them, they eventually will forget, but if you make someone feel good, they will always remember that.
• 8/31/2015 -“A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart." - Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It means that a true friend always touches your heart and is always there for you.
• 9/1/2015 - “ Your deeds are your monuments.”- R.J. Palacio. Doing good deeds is what helps you grow into a person and helps make you get big.
• 9/8/2015 - “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.”It means that the difference between something being ordinary and extraordinary is a few extra things.
• 9/10/2015 - “Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.”It means that no matter who you are or what you do, you can change the course of the future.
• 9/14/2015 - “If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.”It means that if you don't stand up to anything, you will never be good at anything.
• 9/16/2015 - “Always do right, this will gratify some people and astonish the rest.”- Mark Twain. Always do the right thing. It will make people feel good.
• 9/18/2015 - “Whatever you are, be a good one.”- Abraham Lincoln. No matter who you are, you should be a good person and always do the right thing.
• 9/21/2015 - “Every time the sun rises, a new hope begins.”It means that every day is new and you should forget about what happened the previous day.
• 9/22/2015 - “Find your GREATNESS!”There is greatness in everything, you just have to find it.
• 9/23/2015 - “Love a little more each day.”Instead of doing it all at once, do it a bit a day.
• 9/28/2015 - “Wherever there is a human being, there is an act for kindness!”Wherever there is a human being around, you can be kind to them. 
• 9/29/2015 - “Winners never quit and quitters never win.”- Vince Lombard. People who win never quit, they will push themselves until they reach their goal and if they don't meet their goal, they keep trying.
• 9/30/2015 -“Nothing will work unless you do." - Maya Angelou.  If you don't work, then nothing will work.
